This beautiful stylish furnished houseboat is situated in an historic canal and surrounded by trees more than 100 years old. Accessible through a Tree-lane and a romantic enclosed entrance within shady groves. The nice Garden has a wooden terrace with a lounge-sofa, parasol and wood stove (+wood) and "connected" to the living by the terrace doors. The Houseboat has a split-level-floor design. The middle + upper "deck" is accessible by the main entrance-hall. Here you will find the light and open living, which has an open sight on both terraces (garden side and water side). The living provides a fireplace, Big flatscreen HD-TV: 100+ TV-channels/on-demand and fast Internet/WIFI: 150 Mbit/s
There is an open connection with the spacious kitchen which is situated on the upper "deck", 4 staircases higher. There is a big -sized oven and 6 firespots, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, a dishwasher and a very good expresso-machine. On the upper "deck" is a bedroom (with a very good 2 pers-bed) which has a direct door to a spacious bathroom. The bathroom has a 2-p bath/jacuzzi, a walk-in shower and a toilet. On the upper "deck" is also a separate washer-room.
The lower "deck" has a private entrance and is accessible by the main entrance-hall. Here you will find a nice quiet and spacious bed/sitting room (+TV/DVD), a very good 2-p bed, a separate spacious bathroom with shower and separate toilet-room (+washdryer).
The houseboat is located in a leafy area with many old trees and houses founded in 1930 and older. The houseboat is situated in an ancient Canal (1665) with the name the Leidsche Vaart, a quiet water with waterplants and full of life. Living in the city but in the middle of nature. The houseboat is accessible by a small romantic lane lined by old chestnut trees.
There are 4 good bikes and infinity good and safe bicycle-lanes in and around Utrecht/Netherlands.
There is a good motorboat + 6HP outboard-engine (no license required). Visiting the beautiful historic city-centre canals by your own boat is a big bonus and just 40 minutes boating away along the magical waterwonderland waters of Utrecht. City-centre is just 15 minutes walking, 10 minutes biking. Free Parking in the street Amsterdam is 30 minutes driving, 30 minutes by train Central Train station is 15 minutes walking International school is 5 minutes biking Swimmingpool is 2 minutes walking.
What to do in Utrecht
The old historic city with the ‘Oudegracht’ and the ‘Nieuwegracht’ with the characteristic wharfs and terraces makes Utrecht to a cosy and intimate city. Utrecht also offers many museums, boat tours and citywalks through the old historical small streets with as literally highlight the Dom Cathedral Tower.
But also our own district 'Oog in Al ' offers a variety of recreational activities such as a beautiful old park with within in the old house 'Oog in Al' (1664), the Merwede Canal with the historical industrial complex 'Coin locks lock' (1891) with view to the Royal Mint building (1907). In the summer months you can enjoy for a drink and food at the city beachbar located to the Amsterdam-Rijn Canal and the Merwede Canal. You can discover these beautiful waterways by canoe, there is no busy traffic by other boats. You also can go by motorboat, in 40 minutes to city-centre and drive through the old historic warf-cellars. You can also discover the neighborhood and further outside Utrecht by pushbike, there is no busy traffic and there are many -only pushbike allowed- lanes.
